Jenny D. Vinopal was recently hired as Director of Outreach and Community Development. In this new role, she will develop effective outreach strategies and increase partnerships to build a continuum of support for current and former foster youth in the Southern California region. Prior to joining CYC, Jenny served as Assistant Director for Foster Youth Programs at the CSU Office of the Chancellor where she coordinated statewide efforts to expand postsecondary educational opportunities for students from foster care. Jenny served as Interim Director of the Renaissance Scholars at Cal Poly Pomona and the Director of Guardian Scholars at Cal State Fullerton, where she developed and improved on-campus support programs that ensure admission, retention, and graduation for former foster youth. For over twelve years, Jenny has been an adult supporter for both the Los Angeles and Orange County Chapters of CYC and have assisted in the personal and professional development of youth to become empowered leaders in their community. Jenny holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Southern California and earned her bachelor's degree in human services from Cal State Fullerton.
