Roderick Venter is the current Northern Region Outreach Coordinator for California Youth Connection. He has been in this position since July of 2008 and provides technical support and outreach to 10 chapters in the Northern region: Butte, El Dorado, Glenn, Mendocino, Placer, Sacramento, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Yuba-Sutter.
Prior to joining CYC’s Staff, Roderick worked as a Student Assistant to The California State Ombudsman office for Foster Care for several years. Also, he was a youth member of the Sacramento Chapter for 7 years as well. Currently, Roderick is attending Sacramento City College with a Major in Social Work and Plan to transfer next year to a California State University to pursue my Bachelors.
