Foster Care Ombudsman of California
The job of the foster care ombudsman is to help youth with their problems or questions. They can also tell you who your lawyer, social worker, or probation officer is. Their free number is: 1.877.846.1602

Foster Club
This website provides foster youth between ages 14 and 23 opportunities to become involved, informed and independent in their transitioning journey towards adulthood.

Honoring Emancipated Youth
HEY's mission is to strengthen and connect San Francisco's systems of support for Bay Area foster care youth so that all youth emancipating or aging out of the foster care system can enjoy a healthy transition to adulthood. As a local intermediary organization, HEY convenes local foster care stakeholders (including current and former foster youth, and the public, private, and nonprofit sectors) and connects stakeholders to common issues.

Legal Services for Children
Founded in 1975 as the first nonprofit law firm for children and youth in the country, Legal Services for Children provides free legal and social services to children and youth under 18 years old in the San Francisco Bay Area. LSC provides assistance with dependencies, guardianships, emancipations, hearings arising out of school discipline, special education, benefits, immigration, and other cases not easily categorized.

San Francsico ILSP
ILSP is designed to help eligible youth prepare for independent living by providing them with the skills and resources necessary to become self-sufficient. They Provide: -Mentoring/Tutoring -Computer Classes -Life Skills Workshops -Vocational Services -Early ILSP Services -Transitional Services -Aftercare Services/Housing

Youth Law Center
The Youth Law Center is a non-profit law office that has worked to protect abused and at-risk children since 1978. With offices in San Francisco and Washington, D.C., the center works nationally to serve children, focusing particularly upon the problems of children living apart from their families in child welfare and juvenile justice systems. The goal of the Youth Law Center's work is to ensure that vulnerable children are provided with the conditions and services they need to grow into healthy, productive adults.
