Rebecca Leach has been the Southern Region Policy Coordinator for California Youth Connection (CYC) since 2008. Rebecca has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from California State University, San Marcos. She began her work in Child Welfare in 2002 starting as a Youth Advocate for Casey Family Programs, where she found her passion for youth empowerment and legislation and policy legislation. Rebecca moved on to become the Youth Projects Coordinator for the San Diego Foster Youth Initiative. In 2006 she spent the summer as a Congressional Foster Youth Intern in Washington, DC working for Congressman Adam Schiff. In addition to her work at CYC Rebecca volunteers with various organizations in San Diego and Los Angeles. Rebecca hopes to continue her education by obtaining her Masters in Public Health.
