CYC San Bernardino Wins An Award!
The National Association of Counties (NACo) is the only national organization that represents county governments before the Administration and Congress. NACo provides essential services to the nation's 3,068 counties. California Youth Connection's San Bernardino Chapter won an award for their Foster Youth Summit in which they host every year. The Foster Youth Summit is an event where foster youth in the county can share about their experiences in care, as well as ways to improve the foster care system. The information that is gathered from this event is brought to the attention of the Foster Youth Council in San Bernardino, where the suggestion are analyzed and then implemented into policy for the counties child welfare system.
